Snap Revamps AR Tools for Advertisers and Expands Partnership with Live Nation

Snapchat is making waves in the tech world with its latest announcement of revamped augmented reality (AR) tools for advertisers. After a successful first quarter in 2024, Snap has introduced AR Extensions, a feature that allows advertisers to seamlessly integrate AR lenses and filters into all of Snap’s ad formats.

With over 422 million daily active users, Snapchat is offering advertisers a unique opportunity to showcase their products, IP, and brand through immersive AR ads. The platform has also introduced new machine learning and automation tools to streamline the AR creation process, making it faster and easier for brands to turn 2D product catalogues into 3D, AR try-on assets.

In addition to these advancements, Snapchat has expanded its partnership with Live Nation to create ‘Snap Nation’, a platform that offers exclusive behind-the-scenes content from popular music artists. This collaboration aims to leverage Snapchat’s pool of influencers, or ‘Snap Stars’, to curate stories from Live Nation concerts and festivals, bringing together shared experiences from the platform’s community.

Kevin Chernett, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Media Partnerships at Live Nation, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that Snapchat provides artists with a new platform to showcase their creativity and build personal connections with fans during peak moments of engagement.

Overall, Snap’s investment in AR tools and partnerships with Live Nation demonstrate the platform’s commitment to innovation and community building. As technology continues to evolve, advertisers and users alike can expect even more immersive and engaging experiences on Snapchat.
