“Walkabout Mini Golf Expands with ’80s-Inspired Course and Arcade Legend VR Partnership”

The popular VR mini-golf game Walkabout Mini Golf is leveling up with the release of a new ’80s-inspired course and a partnership with Arcade Legend VR. Mighty Coconut, the developer behind the game, has just launched the DLC “8-Bit Lair,” which takes players on a futuristic journey through a corporate skyscraper owned by billionaire hacker Vincent Vector.

This new course, part of the “Villain’s Lair” series, offers 18 holes of golf in both easy and hard modes, along with exciting new game mechanics like brick-breaking and coin collecting. Players can also enjoy 80s-inspired avatar cosmetics and participate in a themed scavenger hunt to earn a special commemorative putter.

In addition to the DLC release, Walkabout Mini Golf is introducing a new avatar makeover category with four new makeup designs in various color variations. But that’s not all – Mighty Coconut has also teamed up with Arcade Legend VR to bring the original “Tourist Trap” course to life as a playable retro arcade machine. Complete with a themed cabinet, mini-golf joystick, chiptune music, and a leaderboard, this 8-bit version adds a nostalgic twist to the game.

Walkabout Mini Golf has been a hit since its launch in 2020, boasting over 11,000 user reviews and an almost perfect five-star rating on Meta Quest. With regular updates and new content, including licensed courses and homages to classic games, the game continues to attract players looking for a fun and immersive VR experience.
