Blackjack Promotions Launches Augmented Reality Family Campaign in Partnership with Dufry
Blackjack Promotions, a leading travel retail and brand experience specialist, has launched its first augmented reality immersive campaign aimed at families this summer. Partnering with Dufry, a global travel experience player, the ‘summer treasure hunt’ AR initiative is currently live in two World Duty Free stores in London Stansted Airport and Manchester Airport.
Families are invited to scan a QR code with their smartphones inside the store to capture clues and see animals come to life on screen. Each clue leads to a number recorded on a postcard, and upon completion, children can claim an activity prize.
The campaign, which has already attracted over 1,000 families in the first 10 days, will run until August 27, 2023. Leanne Nutter, Brand and Retail Director at Blackjack Promotions, expressed excitement about the project, stating, “We set ourselves a challenge to come up with a creative concept that would help families traveling with children enjoy the airport experience even more.”
