Experience the WNBA in Virtual Reality with Xtadium App on Meta Quest 3!

The WNBA is once again bringing the excitement of live games to fans in Virtual Reality, with 20 games being streamed this year as part of a multi-year deal between the WNBA and Meta. Today, July 2, catch the New York Liberty versus Minnesota Lynx game at 4 p.m. PT in immersive 180-degree VR via the Xtadium app on Meta Quest 3.

Xtadium is a VR and MR platform that allows sports fans to access games on Meta’s Quest headsets. While most games can be viewed on a virtual screen in MR, five games, including today’s matchup, are streamed in immersive 180-degree VR format. This gives viewers a courtside seat experience without the need for expensive tickets.

Upcoming games that will be streamed in immersive VR include matchups like Los Angeles Sparks versus Chicago Sky on August 17 and Phoenix Mercury versus Las Vegas Aces on September 1. For those in the U.S., all WNBA games streamed for VR are free to watch on Quest, making it a convenient and affordable way to enjoy the action.

Watching sports in VR offers a unique and engaging experience, allowing fans to feel like they are right in the middle of the action. With Xtadium’s ability to watch games with friends and family, it’s a great way to enjoy sports entertainment. Meta’s commitment to VR technology is evident in their partnership with the WNBA, and fans are sure to appreciate the immersive viewing experience.
