Google Partners with Magic Leap for AR Glasses Project: What to Expect
Google and Magic Leap Partner to Develop AR Glasses
Google has once again entered the world of augmented reality (AR) with a new partnership with Magic Leap, an AR company known for its expertise in optics and manufacturing. This partnership aims to combine Google’s technology platforms with Magic Leap’s AR expertise to bring immersive experiences to the market.
According to Shahram Izadi, VP and GM of AR/XR at Google, the collaboration will allow the two companies to create a “micro XR” platform specifically designed for AR glasses. This platform may be licensed to manufacturers, similar to how Google licenses Android for smartphones.
With Apple’s rumored Vision Pro AR/VR device yet to hit the market, Google’s partnership with Magic Leap indicates that the race for mainstream AR glasses is still on. The tech world eagerly awaits to see what innovative products Google will bring to the table as a result of this collaboration.
Stay tuned for more updates on Google and Magic Leap’s AR glasses project as it develops.
