Xreal Unveils New AR Glasses with Advanced Spatial Computing Capabilities

Xreal has just announced the launch of its latest pair of AR glasses, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra, ahead of CES 2024. These cutting-edge glasses come equipped with spatial computing capabilities that allow users to control interfaces with hand gestures, taking augmented reality to a whole new level.

Building upon the success of the Xreal Air 2 smart glasses, the Air 2 Ultra features tracking and 3D sensing technology in a sleek and lightweight design. Weighing less than 3 ounces (80 grams), these glasses are comfortable for extended use, making them ideal for a variety of applications.

The Air 2 Ultra boasts advanced features such as depth sensing, 3D environment mapping, hand-tracking, and six degrees of freedom (6DoF), allowing users to interact with virtual objects in a room and experience augmented reality in a whole new way. Additionally, the glasses support traditional two-dimensional screens for watching videos, creating virtual monitors, and playing games.

With a 52-degree field of view and a display density of 42 pixels per degree, the Air 2 Ultra offers sharp visuals and excellent performance. The 500-nit brightness and 120Hz refresh rate ensure a smooth and immersive experience for users.

While the Xreal Air 2 Ultra is currently targeted towards developers for creating AR and spatial computing apps, consumers can also preorder the glasses. Priced at $699, the Air 2 Ultra is set to ship in March 2024 and is compatible with compatible phones or computers for operation.

For those who already own the Xreal Light, there is a $100 discount available on the Air 2 Ultra. Preorders are now open on Xreal’s developer website, with more details on AR apps set to be announced soon.

Overall, the Xreal Air 2 Ultra represents a significant leap forward in the world of augmented reality and spatial computing, offering users a unique and immersive experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking technology.
